  The Other Brother takes up where The Return left off, following Molly Lenoir as she leaves home to begin what promised to be a bright future. When a twist of fate alters her path, Molly is plunged into unfamiliar territory, struggling to make sense of it all while in the midst of some highly unusual company
Cora, the crusty grocery store owner who dispenses love & advice with a salty tongue & a heart of gold;

Jade, the recovering New Orleans hooker, hell-bent on making amends with her family & getting her life back on track; and
Kevin, the Atlanta-based news reporter whose link to Molly's past threatens to destroy them both.

From Chapter One
 Outside the hurricane raged, the furor of its wind whipping mercilessly through the thin walls of the two-room shack. Molly LeNoir watched as rain washed in turbulent rivers over the clouded windowpanes, her arms folded insecurely across her chest as she peered through the slats of rickety wooden shutters, considering the storm and wishing for the first time in a very long time that she were not completely alone.
  "It's not that bad out there," she muttered defiantly. "There have been worse storms ? bad storms ? storms that make this look like nothing."
Like Camille, or Katrina that had flattened the Gulf Coast with one cruel swipe of her hand.
"It's certainly not bad enough to kill me," she added, growing more doubtful as the storm continued to gain strength. "Although, I suppose it would be fitting ? a perfectly tragic ending to go right along with the rest of it."
It was a curse ? her mother's curse ? a curse passed on to Molly by fate and birthright, marked by a tragic path of dead men, crushed dreams and broken hearts, and Molly was determined to beat it.
So far, she wasn't off to a great start.

Well, I fell in love with another bookstore yesterday when I signed copies of Drink One to Me, Christian Bennett at Turning Pages Books and More in Natchez, Mississippi. As if Natchez weren't wonderful enough on its own, but to be blessed with such an amazing bookseller! The store itself is beautiful, with so much personality, but what really makes for a joyful experience is owner Mary Emrick, her delightful staff--and of course, Sugar, their beloved canine mascot, along with the friendliest, funniest customers ever.

I had an incredible afternoon at Turning Pages Books, and know that you would too. When visiting Natchez, or if you already live in the area, please stop by and visit them...and while you're there, pick up several of the autographed books from their amazing collection. A morning or afternoon at Turning Pages is definitely time well spent.

Visit them online at: http://turningpagesbooks.net/

Until next time,

Vicki Allen

A big thank you to Laura Weeks and her husband Troy for graciously allowing me to sign copies of "Drink One to Me, Christian Bennett" in their wonderful bookstore, and for their incredible hospitality while I was there. If you live in the Vicksburg area and have not visited Lorelei Books, I encourage you to do so. It is a beautiful store in equally lovely Historic Downtown Vicksburg, with customer service second to none.

Visit Lorelei Books website for further details: www.loreleibooks.com

An additional shout-out to Rusty's Riverfront Grill in Vicksburg where we feasted on an amazing post-signing dinner. Great menu, atmosphere and staff. We loved it!
